A leading healthcare consulting firm in Wisconsin is currently seeking an experienced INP Coder to join their team. This role is focused on remote inpatient specialty coding to help manage a large backlog.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 5pm CST
- Setting: Remote
Responsibilities:
- Coding various inpatient medical records.
- Reviewing and resolving flagged claims due to edits or modifier issues.
- Performing bundling and unbundling tasks.
- Maintaining current knowledge of coding guidelines and procedures.
- Utilizing Epic systems for coding and resolving edits.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of medical coding and auditing experience
- Coding certification required (CPC, CCS)
- Experience with specialty inpatient coding
- Advanced knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/Revenue Code procedure coding
- Strong Epic system experience
- Ability to code from scratch and perform audits
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
Desired Skills:
- 4+ years of experience
- Professional certification in coding
- Additional Revenue Cycle certifications
- In-depth knowledge of coding information systems
