A recognized services organization in Newark, Delaware is actively seeking an experienced HR professional to join its staff as its new Human Resources Lead Specialist. In this role, the Human Resources Lead Specialist will be responsible for focusing on driving engagement, building organizational capability, and improving employee experience through strategic, data-driven HR initiatives.
***This is 5 days onsite in Newark, DE***
Responsibilities:
- Communicate, implement, and support HR programs in alignment with the overall HR strategy and delivery model
- Provide comprehensive HR support and collaborate with Centers of Expertise and HR Business Partners as needed
- Interpret and administer site policies and procedures
- Prepare reports, collect and analyze data, develop summaries, and report on the status of ongoing HR matters
- Lead workplace investigations as needed and partner with other HR team members as appropriate
- Drive initiatives to build individual and organizational capability across the site
- Advise and coach supervisors on effective employment practices to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies while fostering employee motivation and engagement
- Collaborate within the HR team to identify improvement opportunities and streamline processes
- Partner with site leadership to advance a culture focused on feedback, performance, transparent communication, and a positive employee experience
- Provide coaching and guidance to employees and leaders to enhance overall site and business performance
- Ensure compliance with company, government, and local employment regulations
- Travel to additional sites as business needs dictate
- Serve as an active member of the site leadership team
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in Human Resources
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws
- Extensive experience supporting manufacturing and/or shift operations required
- Proven ability to lead organizational change initiatives
- Experience using metrics and data to drive HR actions and interventions
- Strong ability to design and implement HR processes for efficiency and impact
- Demonstrated success collaborating across all levels and functions of an organization
- Ability to influence and implement HR best practices
- Excellent judgment, organizational, and strategic thinking skills
