A health services organization in New York City is looking to add a new HR Strategy & Operations Analyst to their team in Brooklyn. In this role, you will work with a high degree of independence and initiative to conduct research and analysis; structures complex problems, generates meaningful insights; and organizes and presents information in a way that promotes understanding by a range of audiences including hospital leadership and external stakeholders.
About the Opportunity:

- Hours: 9am to 5pm (35 hours/week - 1 hour lunch)
Responsibilities:
- Gathers, organizes, and analyzes data from across the organization, and from external sources, to support decision-making.
- Plans, develops and administers medical center’s wage and salary program in conjunction with the AVP, Performance & Policy and senior management.
- Maintains all employee job description files, ensuring that all job descriptions are organized, accurate and compliant
- Conducts research and analysis related to market environment and business development opportunities.
- Maintain an electronic project management system and assist in ensuring compliance and progress on department projects and initiatives.
- Identifies opportunities to improve enterprise systems and business processes, and helps to drive solutions within Human Resources and across departments.
- Supports implementation of the organization’s strategic priorities.
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Develop and execute, in conjunction with the Marketing Department as applicable, an internal messaging strategy that utilizes diverse communication channels, e.g., email, intranet, social media, digital screens, screensavers and print- and ensures that the message can be communicated most effectively to specific stakeholder groups, in a timely manner.
- Undertakes a variety of special assignments involving management of discrete initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or liberal arts.
- 5-years of progressive experience conducting analytic, business development, and/or program management work.
- Excellent critical thinking abilities with strong communication and analytic skills.
- A track record of delivering meaningful results in a fast-paced, fluid work environment.
- Strong interpersonal, research, writing, and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to proactively and creatively address obstacles to achieve project objectives.
- Ability to process, organize, and interpret large volumes of information, and to present analysis using a combination of quantitative and qualitative data to draw conclusions.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; ability to create functional, scalable, user-friendly analytic tools and manipulate large amounts of data in Microsoft Excel (familiar with Pivot tables and with functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, INDIRECT, CONCATENATE, FIND, RANK).
Desired Skills:
- Background in healthcare administration, public health, public policy, finance, or a related field
- Master’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Public Health, Public Policy, Healthcare Services Administration, or a related field
- Event planning and execution experience
- Project Management Certificate
- Six Sigma Certification
