A health services network in New York City is looking to add a new Hemodialysis Technologist to join their team in Brooklyn. In this role, the Hemodialysis Technologist will be responsible for assisting in patient care and maintaining hemodialysis equipment in the Hemodialysis Unit.

About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (with alternate Saturdays)
- Hours: 7am to 3:30pm (35 hours per week with a 1-hour lunch)
- Setting: Hospital-based
Responsibilities:
- Performing patient care activities, including vital signs and weight recording
- Developing rapport with patients and families
- Assisting with the maintenance and repair of hemodialysis equipment
- Training personnel in equipment use
- Maintaining infection control and quality assurance logs
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dialysis Technician
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- BONENT or CCHT certified
- Basic Life Support / CPR certification
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills
- Experience with Fresenius 2008 T machines
- Technical skills in Equipment Maintenance
Desired Qualifications:
- Completion of PCT training course
- Technical proficiency with Dialysis Equipment
