Senior GIS Developer / System Administrator
We are seeking a Senior GIS Developer / System Administrator to join our enterprise GIS team. This role is ideal for a GIS professional who combines deep development expertise with full system administration skills, and who thrives in building and supporting mission-critical GIS solutions.
As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining web-based GIS applications, administering enterprise GIS infrastructure, and working with stakeholders across the organization to deliver innovative mapping solutions that drive real-world impact.
What You’ll Do
• Customize and extend the VertiGIS Studio / Geocortex suite to meet business needs.
• Design and develop .NET web applications that integrate with GIS platforms.
• Build automation tools and integrations using Python with familiarity with PowerShell.
• Administer and support the ESRI ArcGIS platform (Enterprise, Pro).
• Manage configurations, upgrades, patches, and SSL certificates for GIS systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring reliable system performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
• 5+ years of experience in GIS development with strong ESRI expertise.
• Proficiency in .NET (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core) web application development.
• Hands-on experience with VertiGIS Studio / Geocortex.
• Strong system administration skills, including patching, upgrades, and SSL management.
• Experience with databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
• Experience in government or large enterprise GIS environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-based GIS deployments (prefer AWS).
• Understanding of ITIL practices and SLA-driven environments.
