About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Hours: 9am - 5pm
- Setting: academic hospital-affiliated clinic
Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management for older adult patients
- Diagnose and treat mood, anxiety, cognitive, and psychotic disorders common in late life
- Collaborate with primary care, neurology, social work, and caregivers to support coordinated care
- Offer supportive psychotherapy, safety planning, and guidance on cognitive and functional decline
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in quality, compliance, and interdisciplinary initiatives
Qualifications:
- License to practice medicine in New York
- Board Certified/Eligible in Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry
- Spanish language skills preferred
