A healthcare network in New Jersey is currently seeking a Gastroenterologist for inpatient coverage in the Surgery Department at its facility in Union County.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 2 weeks per month (7 days per week)
- Setting: Inpatient
- Patient Volume: 5 to 10 per day
- EMR: EPIC
Responsibilities:
- Perform inpatient GI consultations and procedures
- Daily rounding and scheduled OR block time
- Emergency on-call coverage
- Manage a range of conditions including GI bleeding, pancreatitis, and malignancies
- Procedures may include ERCP (diagnostic & therapeutic), EGD, colonoscopy, PEG, esophageal stenting, and more
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- ACLS certification required
- Ability to work independently in an Inpatient setting
- Eligible for emergency or temporary hospital privileges
Desired Skills:
- Experience with advanced GI procedures
