A well-known professional organization in Tennessee is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their team in Memphis as their new Financial Systems Manager.
About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: Contract to Hire
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Hybrid (3 days onsite/ 2 days remote)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset processing, lease/contract review, accrual entries, and/or budget variance reviews
- Research and analyze the assigned large elements of revenue and expense and the related internal reporting
- Ensure general ledger account balances are materially correct in compliance with internal controls and GAAP and that internal control risks are tested and documented in accordance with Sarbanes - Oxley
- Lead accounting initiatives/ projects, including process improvement, regulatory compliance/changes and policy
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Accounting and/or Financial Reporting experience in a Public Accounting and/or For-Profit Corporate environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related Quantitative discipline
- Strong knowledge of GAAP standards
- Outstanding knowledge of Business software, Spreadsheet applications and/or Mainframe or Web-based Applications
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid analytical and financial analysis skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
