A services company is actively seeking a new Engineering Operations Electrical Technician for a great opportunity on their Data Center Operations team. In this role, the Engineering Operations Electrical Technician will be responsible for deploying and connecting rack power systems with a strong focus on safety and precision.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Regular full-time
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Setting: Hybrid (onsite at least 3 days a week)
Responsibilities:
- Route and connect rack-mounted power cables in accordance with SOPs
- Plug in and verify electrical connections (no fiber or networking involved)
- Follow strict step-by-step SOPs for rack power installation and verification
- Work at heights (up to 4 feet) on ladders to access cable routing paths
- Operate safely within hot environments (typically 80–85°F) and confined spaces
Qualifications:
- Experience with high voltage/electrical work in an Industrial or Critical environment
- Familiarity with Rack Power Systems, Plug-In procedures, and Cable Management best practices
- Physically capable of lifting, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods
- Safety-conscious, professional, and highly reliable
- Comfortable working in high-reliability environments, including data centers or critical facilities
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in Data Centers or Mission-Critical facilities
- Basic understanding of Power Distribution within the IT infrastructure
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
