A recognized services organization in New York City is looking to add a new Employee Relations Specialist to join their team in the Bronx, supporting HR functions and addressing employee-related issues.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
- Setting: Onsite (5 days a week)
Responsibilities:
- Preparing responses for unemployment claims and maintaining documentation
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations
- Supporting the implementation and updating of HR policies
- Responding to employee complaints and facilitating resolution
- Collaborating with staff to address workplace issues
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in Employee Relations and/or a related field
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Proficiency in HRIS systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential matters
- Detail-oriented and organized
Desired Skills:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Working knowledge of Paycom
