A leading organization in the Bronx is currently seeking an Employee Relations Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a committed team, supporting a range of employee-related functions at a prominent housing solutions provider.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 5 days a week
- Hours: 9am – 5pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
- Setting: Office with potential travel to programs (transportation provided)
Responsibilities:
- Preparing responses for unemployment claims and maintaining tracking logs.
- Ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
- Supporting HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Addressing employee complaints and facilitating resolutions.
- Collaborating with staff to handle workplace issues and communication breakdowns.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in an Employee Relations or related HR functions
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Working knowledge of Paycom
