A health services organization in Penns Grove, NJ is actively seeking a new Emergency Medicine Technician to join the Workplace Health & Safety team.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Nights (4 shifts per week)
- Schedule: Wednesday to Saturday,
- Hours: 7pm to 5:30am
- Setting: Occupational Health
Responsibilities:
- Providing first aid support and referring employees to outside medical providers as needed
- Minimizing injury risk through education and engagement
- Maintaining records of care provided
- Coordinating workers' compensation and return to work programs
- Providing daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic Certification or similar
- Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficient in digital record keeping
- Experience with OSHA regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Certified to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED
- Experience in Industrial Wellness programs
- Familiarity with Workers Compensation
- Experience with Microsoft Office
