A recognized health services network in Baton Rouge, LA is actively seeking a new Emergency Medicine Technician within the Health & Safety team, ensuring employee well-being through strategic medical support and awareness.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Wednesday to Saturday
- Hours: 8am to 6:30pm
- Setting: Workplace Health & Safety Team
Responsibilities:
- Providing first aid support and making referrals to outside medical providers as necessary
- Minimizing employees' risk of injury through education and proactive engagement
- Maintaining all records of care provided to employees
- Coordinating workers' compensation and return to work programs
- Providing daily activity logs and end of shift reports
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- EMT or Paramedic certification or relevant military medical experience
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in First Aid and Emergency Response protocols
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams
- Critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Desired Qualifications:
- Certified to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED training
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations
- Experience in Industrial Wellness programs
- Experience with Musculoskeletal Disorder Management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
