Join our team as an Emergency Medicine Technician in Amarillo, TX, where you'll support workplace health and safety. This role involves first aid care and safety management for employees onsite.
About the Opportunity:
- On-site
- Shift: Varied, transitioning to Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri
- Schedule: Training is M-F 07:00-03:30
- Hours: 12:00-08:30 post-training, holiday work expected
Responsibilities:
- Providing first aid support and making referrals to outside medical providers as necessary
- Minimizing the employee's risk of injury through awareness and proactive engagement
- Maintaining records of care provided to employees
- Coordinating and maintaining workers' compensation and return to work programs
- Providing daily activity logs and end of shift reports
Qualifications:
- High School or equivalent diploma
- Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- EMT or Paramedic Certification or military medic experience
- Experience in emergency medical care
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in using computer systems
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Team collaboration skills
Desired Skills:
- Teaching certification for first aid, CPR, and AED
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with industrial wellness programs
