A health services organization in California is actively seeking a new Emergency Medicine Technician to join their growing team in Ontario, focusing on maintaining the health and safety of the workforce through first aid support and collaboration with health specialists.

About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Days or Nights
- Setting: Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) department
Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid support and make referrals to outside medical providers as necessary
- Minimize the employee’s risk of injury through awareness, education, and proactive engagement
- Maintain all records of care provided to employees
- Coordinate and maintain the workers’ compensation and return to work programs
- Provide daily activity logs and end of shift reports
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by an approved emergency cardiac care (ECC) provider
- Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic Certification or equivalent relevant experience
- Proficiency in First Aid Operations
Desired Skills:
- Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Experience with an Industrial Wellness program
- Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and coaching
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Workers Compensation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
