A healthcare facility in Central New York is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing Emergency Department. This is a long-term travel opportunity offering flexible scheduling and a supportive team environment.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: minimum of 6 months
- Shifts: Days or Nights
- Schedule: 7 shift per month
- Hours: 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am
- Setting: Emergency Department
- Patient Volume: 35 patients per day
Responsibilities:
- Providing direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Conducting assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, and determining treatment plans
- Collaborating with Attending Physicians and Nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Managing and documenting all patient interactions accurately within the EMR
- Maintaining compliance with facility and state healthcare regulations
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees
- Active NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certification
- Active DEA registration
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of Emergency Medicine experience
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine
