About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: Onsite
- Shift: Monday–Friday
- Schedule: Normal business hours
- Hours: 35 hours per week (excluding unpaid meal break)
- Setting: 2MTC, Brooklyn, NY 11201
Responsibilities:
The Emergency Communications Engineer will be responsible for:
- Overseeing vendors in emergency communications and infrastructure
- Coordinating with service providers and neighboring jurisdictions
- Supporting emergency communications network deployment and maintenance
- Configuring and testing network infrastructure
- Providing technical support for telecommunication systems and services
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Relevant degree in telecommunications or related field
- Certifications in network support (e.g., CCNA) are a plus
- Proficiency in data center operations
- Experience in communications routing and delivery
- Familiarity with networking hardware
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
Desired Skills:
- 4+ years of network support experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
