A financial services organization is seeking a Documentation Specialist for a hybrid role based in Vienna, Virginia. The Documentation Specialist will support the development, maintenance, and governance of policies, procedures, manuals, and operational documentation in a regulated environment.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: Standard business
  • Setting: Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, edit, format, and maintain policies, procedures, manuals, job aids, and operational documentation
  • Research and update documentation based on business process, operational, and regulatory changes
  • Review proposed policy and procedure updates for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Manage documentation deliverables to help meet project milestones and stakeholder expectations
  • Maintain documentation repositories and knowledge management resources so information remains current and accessible

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in technical writing, documentation management, business process documentation, communications, or a related field
  • Associate's degree in Communications, English, Business Administration, Technical Writing, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience researching, documenting, and improving business processes and workflows
  • Strong technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Experience creating and maintaining policies, procedures, manuals, and operational documentation
  • Working knowledge of web-based technologies, content management systems, and documentation tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams

Desired Skills:

  • Experience supporting documentation, policy management, or knowledge management functions within a financial services or regulated environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Business Administration, Technical Writing, or a related field
  • Experience with enterprise content management systems and intranet platforms
  • Knowledge of financial services products, operations, policies, and procedures
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
