A recognized healthcare system in the Bronx, NY is currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Director of Labor Relations for a leadership opportunity.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm or 8am to 4pm
Responsibilities:
- Lead labor relations strategy and execution across the organization.
- Manage union negotiations and enforce collective bargaining agreements.
- Oversee grievance and arbitration processes.
- Advise leadership on labor law, disciplinary actions, and contract interpretation.
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure policy alignment.
- Deliver training and guidance to managers on labor relations and employee engagement.
- Monitor legislative changes and adjust policies accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Master’s Degree required
- 10+ years of progressive experience in labor relations or human resources
- Most recent 2 roles must be within the healthcare industry
- Strong experience in union negotiations, grievance handling, and arbitration
- Deep knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Great interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
