A consumer products company in New York City is actively seeking an experienced professional to join their team as their new Director of Accounting. In this role, the Director of Accounting will be responsible for corporate accounting, controls, audit, and ERP implementation support within a transitioning company.

About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business hours
- Setting: Hybrid (Tuesday to Thursday)
Responsibilities:
- Owning the monthly close process
- Designing and documenting month-end close checklists and controls
- Oversight of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules
- Leading annual audit and serving as primary contact for auditors
- Lender reporting and trade spend management
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive Accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Experience in CPG industry
- US GAAP experience
- Excellent Excel and financial systems capability
- Hands-on and adaptable approach
- Strong leadership and resourcefulness
Desired Qualifications:
- 3+ years in leadership within Accounting
- Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification
- Experience with ERP systems
- Working knowledge of IFRS
