A nonprofit organization on Staten Island, NY is actively seeking a new Director of Financial Planning and Budgeting to support budgeting activities and manage financial strategies.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 40-hour work week with a paid lunch hour
- Setting: Hybrid (at least 4 days a week onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Leading the fiscal analysis team and supporting budget creation
- Creating annual budgets for the entire agency
- Working with multiple divisions and collaborating with the VP of Programs
- Preparing and reviewing monthly vouchers for funders
- Tracking expenses to ensure timely and accurate submissions
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of managerial experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Experience with CFR reporting, OASIS
- Experience in nonprofit finance or accounting
- Familiarity with city, state, and federal grants
- Understanding of compliance requirements
- High proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree in a related field
- Additional certifications
- Experience with AccuMerica software
