A Respite Center in Kingston, NY is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional to join their growing team.
About the Opportunity:

- Schedule: flex (7 days a week)
- Hours: Days, Evenings, Nights
- Patient Population: Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
- Patient Volume: 4
Responsibilities:
- Supporting individuals in achieving personal goals and building community connections
- Assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and meal preparation
- Implementing behavior support plans and crisis intervention techniques
- Documenting services and maintaining compliance with regulations
- Collaborating with clinical and support teams to ensure high-quality care
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2–4 years of experience in the human services field or related area
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Willingness to assist with ADLs, including personal hygiene and mobility
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must be able to meet physical demands of the role (e.g., lifting, standing, assisting individuals)
- Certifications (e.g., SCIP-R, AMAP, CPR) must be obtained within 1 year of hire
