A top Fortune 50 financial institution is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a 100% onsite role in Vienna, VA; Winchester, VA; or Pensacola, FL. The position involves providing technical support to end users to ensure efficient resolution of issues.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: 6am-2:30pm, 8am-4:30pm, 10am-6:30pm (CDT)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Setting: Corporate / financial services environment
Responsibilities:
The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for:
- Providing Tier 1–2 technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner
- Managing and resolving tickets through a ticketing system (ServiceNow)
- Supporting user account management and access via Active Directory
- Assisting with desktop imaging and deployment using MDT/LTI/ZTI
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of desktop support or help desk experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Experience with Windows 10 environments
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory and user administration
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred)
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 suite
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation with patience and professionalism
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Desired Skills:
- A+ Certification or Windows 10 Certification
- Exposure to SCCM (entry-level knowledge)
- Experience with desktop imaging technologies (MDT, LTI, ZTI)
- Awareness of security protocols within financial services environments
