A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Desktop Support Technician to join their team in the McLean, Virginia area.

Responsibilities:
- Perform physical workstation conversions, including setup, removal, and replacement of IT equipment
- Handle laptop swaps, upgrades, and device deployments for end users
- Support cable management, docking station setup, monitors, and peripheral connectivity
- Stage, track, and organize new and returned IT equipment
- Follow documented procedures for device imaging, configuration, and secure wiping of returned devices
- Maintain accurate tracking of converted, staged, and returned assets
- Provide basic end-user support during device swaps and upgrades
- Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and deployment workflows
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, and/or Hardware Deployment
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, laptops, docks, monitors, and peripherals.
- Ability to follow documented technical processes and procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Desired Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+ or similar foundational IT certification
- Experience with Device Imaging and Deployment processes
- Experience tracking assets or working in Inventory / Staging environments
- Familiarity with Ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
