A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Desktop Support Technician to join their team in the McLean, VA area.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 or Tier 2 diagnostics and troubleshooting for hardware and software
- Support and maintain PCs, laptops, and thin client devices across the organization
- Document all work performed, maintaining clear and accurate ticket notes within ServiceNow
- Support Asset Management and Inventory Control activities in,cluding scanning, updating, tracking, collecting, and reconciling IT assets to ensure accuracy and equipment availability
- Perform employee moves and workstation setups, including equipment tear-downs, re-installs, and cable management
- Follow established procedures and ensure compliance with operational and security standards
- Collaborate with team members to resolve incidents efficiently and escalate when necessary
- Manage time effectively and work both independently and within a large team environment to meet service delivery goals
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in Tier 1 or Tier 2 IT support
- Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard enterprise hardware
- Experience using ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) tools
- Strong knowledge of hardware diagnostics, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Experience with asset lifecycle management and inventory tracking processes
- Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing quality end-user support
