A leading organization in New York City is currently seeking a Desktop Support specialist. This role involves hands-on IT support within a dynamic business environment, providing critical services to the office and remote locations.
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: Onsite
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8 am – 6 pm with a 1-hour lunch break
- Setting: Office environment supporting approximately 70 desks
Responsibilities:
The Desktop Support will be responsible for:
- Issuing and setting up laptops, installing software, and supporting conference rooms
- Handling walk-up requests and remote support across the Americas
- Using ticketing systems (ProService) to ensure quick issue resolution
- Assisting with office moves, including equipment setup and meeting room arrangements
- Troubleshooting tickets, software installs, and account access
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of desktop support experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field is desirable
- Certifications are advantageous but not required
- Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange 365
- Proficiency in M365 and security management (e.g., Fresh Service, SharePoint)
- Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN/VPN support
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
Desired Skills:
- 3+ years of experience
- ITIL certification is a plus
- Experience with Intune/SCCM
- Excellent customer service skills
