A top Fortune 50 financial institution is currently seeking a Desktop Governance & Compliance Analyst to join their team. This role plays a key part in ensuring operational efficiency, security, and compliance across a complex end-user computing environment, supporting software governance, audit readiness, and patch management processes.
About the Opportunity:
- Remote, but must be local to Vienna, VA / Pensacola, FL / Winchester, VA
- Setting: Enterprise Technology Services – Desktop Governance & Compliance team
- Environment: Large-scale, regulated financial institution
Responsibilities:
- Performing audit and risk management functions, enforcing desktop standards, and ensuring compliance with enterprise information security and technology policies
- Managing end-to-end patch processes, including testing, pilot deployment, rollout, and stakeholder communication
- Supporting and evaluating requests for new or upgraded desktop and virtual software against asset, technology, and regulatory standards
- Leading software governance and application rationalization efforts to optimize the portfolio and reduce redundancy
- Compiling and analyzing data to assess KPIs, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define acceptance criteria, and support Agile project activities
- Supporting audits through documentation, artifact collection, and progress tracking
- Building strong partnerships with internal teams, management, and key stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of IT experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance functions
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of desktop application management, Windows 11, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
- Experience with ServiceNow, MyIT, MacOS, and Citrix environments
- Proficiency with patch management processes, audit support, and compliance reporting
- Advanced skills in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel (pivot tables) and Power BI
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation abilities
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:
- PMP or equivalent Project Management certification
- Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) and SCCM/MECM data management
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale software governance or compliance programs
