A media services organization in California is actively seeking a new Data Operations / Platform Engineer to join its team at the Central Los Angeles office.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Hybrid (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, validate, and troubleshoot data pipelines for metrics and platform telemetry
- Support data ingestion, transformation, and quality checks
- Build and maintain analytical dashboards and reporting tools
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering for accurate metric tracking across devices
- Work with Data Engineering on maintaining schemas and dependencies
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Strong SQL skills and experience
- Experience with Cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Python, Bash, or Scripting languages
- Experience with Monitoring tools (Grafana, Datadog, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Data Pipelines and Workflows
- Comfort with APIs and JSON event logs
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience with AWS platforms
- Familiarity with Workflow Orchestration tools
- Understanding of Streaming Media concepts
- Experience with Device Telemetry
- Interest in automation and operational efficiency
