A global services company is seeking a new Data Manager to ensure VMS-related data is properly governed, with the right access, controls, and ownership to support secure and compliant operations.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: 100% Remote (EST/CST preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain data ownership, access models (RBAC), and approval workflows for VMS data
- Coordinate access provisioning (e.g., Active Directory groups) and ensure requests are documented and auditable
- Maintain data classification, handling guidance, and retention expectations in collaboration with security/privacy stakeholders
- Track and remediate data risks such as over-permissioning, unclear ownership, and undocumented access paths
- Publish and maintain governance documentation in Confluence
- Deliver outcomes including reduced access friction, clearer accountability, and improved auditability
Qualifications:
- 5 years of verifiable experience with Milestone VMS
- Experience with access management, RBAC, and data governance frameworks
- Strong documentation skills and ability to maintain audit-ready records
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Active Milestone Certified Integration Engineer (MCIE) certification
- Experience supporting data governance in production VMS environments
- Familiarity with Confluence for documentation management
- Ability to enforce controls and collaborate with security/privacy teams to ensure compliance
