A recognized services organization in Dallas, Texas, has a great Remote opportunity awaiting a new Data Engineer II. In this role, the Data Engineer II will be responsible for building a data platform from scratch and will require expertise in Azure Cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using Spark and Azure Databricks
- Building and optimizing data models for both analytics and AI/ML use-cases
- Developing data quality checks and ensuring data integrity
- Writing efficient SQL queries and optimizing data warehouse performance
- Collaborating with Analytics and Data Science teams to understand data requirements
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong SQL expertise
- Experience with Data Warehouses
- Experience with Spark or Airflow for data pipelines
- Proficiency in Python or Scala
- Solid understanding of Data Modeling and ETL/ELT concepts
- Azure Cloud experience.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Master's Degree in a related field
- Experience with Databricks or Delta Lake
- Background in building Data Platforms from scratch
