Responsibilities:
The Data Center Technician will be responsible for:
- Performing hardware and network diagnostics
- Repairing physical hardware issues
- Installing equipment and creating documentation
- Innovating solutions within the Data Center Space
- Participating in on-call rotations
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Advanced understanding of computer hardware
- Basic knowledge of Linux or similar OS
- Understanding of computer networking
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in various physical environments
- Valid driver's license and vehicle required
- Ability to participate in a 24/7 rotation and provide afterhours support
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of experience
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent in an IT field
- Knowledge of RAID, SAN, and X86 Architecture
- Familiarity with SCSI, boot process, and file systems
- Understanding of GRUB/LILO
