A leading engineering and technology firm in Columbus, Ohio is currently seeking a Mechanical Critical Facility Technician to join their mission-critical operations team. This individual will play a key role in maintaining and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems supporting high-availability environments such as data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Operating, maintaining, and repairing complex HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, CRAC/CRAH units, and air handling units
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing minor plumbing systems, including pumps, valves, and piping
  • Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems supporting mission-critical environments
  • Monitoring and controlling environmental systems through Building Management Systems (BMS) such as Niagara Tridium, Siemens, or Johnson Controls
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical, plumbing, and electrical diagrams to perform accurate maintenance and repairs
  • Utilizing CMMS software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and ensure operational reliability
Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of related experience, including at least 3 years of experience in a Data Center setting
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Journeyman or HVAC certification
  • EPA 608 certification
  • Experience with chillers greater than 300 tons, boilers, and other significant mechanical systems
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
  • Proficiency with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Desired Skills:
  • Associate's and/or Technical Degree
  • Experience supporting secure or classified environments
  • Knowledge of mechanical testing, diagnostics, and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
