A healthcare facility in Georgia is currently seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their critical care team. This assignment offers a night shift schedule in a high-acuity ICU environment.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. (3x12s weekly)
- Schedule: Full-time, 13-week assignment (11/01/2025 – 02/28/2026)
- On Call: Not required
- Setting: Inpatient ICU
- Requirement: Local candidates only
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be responsible for:
- Managing 10–15 critically ill patients per shift in collaboration with attending physicians
- Conducting patient assessments and implementing appropriate interventions
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Documenting in EMR (Cerner)
- Performing ICU procedures, including central and arterial line insertions
- Participating in multidisciplinary rounds and communicating with nursing staff
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of ICU/critical care APP experience required
- Master’s degree and national certification
- NPs must hold Acute Care certification (ACNP)
- Active Georgia license and DEA/CDS
- Proficiency in central and arterial line insertions (case logs required)
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Desired Skills:
- Prior ICU/critical care experience beyond minimum requirements
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
