A consumer products company in New Jersey is seeking a new Compensation Analyst to join their team in Jersey City. In this role, the Compensation Analyst will support the design, administration, and evaluation of global compensation programs across a variety of employee groups.

 About the Opportunity:
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment Length: 4+ months
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 9am to 5pm
  • Setting: Hybrid (at least 1 day a week onsite)
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, administer, and ensure compliance of compensation programs for executive, salaried, hourly, retail, and distribution center populations
  • Partner with Talent Operations on compensation changes, equity programs, merit and promotion cycles, and variable pay programs
  • Conduct market pricing using external surveys and internal data to benchmark roles and inform pay recommendations
  • Research and identify market trends to support enhancements to compensation programs
  • Evaluate job architecture to ensure alignment with business needs and market practices
  • Classify jobs and assist in creating or updating job family descriptions and leveling frameworks
  • Conduct internal pay equity and fairness analyses to support consistency across the organization
  • Review compensation programs for effectiveness, cost impact, and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Generate reports and conduct trend analysis to inform compensation decisions
  • Provide systems support—including Workday-related troubleshooting, error handling, and data integrity checks
  • Recommend system and process improvements based on operational needs
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Compensation experience, including work with varied employee types (salaried, hourly, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (modeling, logic statements, lookups)
  • Familiarity with HRIS and compensation management tools
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in a complex or multinational environment
  • Workday Advanced Compensation experience
  • Exposure to equity administration and related systems
