A consumer products company in New Jersey is seeking a new Compensation Analyst to join their team in Jersey City. In this role, the Compensation Analyst will support the design, administration, and evaluation of global compensation programs across a variety of employee groups.

About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: 4+ months
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Hybrid (at least 1 day a week onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Develop, administer, and ensure compliance of compensation programs for executive, salaried, hourly, retail, and distribution center populations
- Partner with Talent Operations on compensation changes, equity programs, merit and promotion cycles, and variable pay programs
- Conduct market pricing using external surveys and internal data to benchmark roles and inform pay recommendations
- Research and identify market trends to support enhancements to compensation programs
- Evaluate job architecture to ensure alignment with business needs and market practices
- Classify jobs and assist in creating or updating job family descriptions and leveling frameworks
- Conduct internal pay equity and fairness analyses to support consistency across the organization
- Review compensation programs for effectiveness, cost impact, and compliance with applicable regulations
- Generate reports and conduct trend analysis to inform compensation decisions
- Provide systems support—including Workday-related troubleshooting, error handling, and data integrity checks
- Recommend system and process improvements based on operational needs
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Compensation experience, including work with varied employee types (salaried, hourly, etc.).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field
- Advanced Excel capabilities (modeling, logic statements, lookups)
- Familiarity with HRIS and compensation management tools
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in a complex or multinational environment
- Workday Advanced Compensation experience
- Exposure to equity administration and related systems
