An enterprise technology organization is seeking a C#/.Net Core Developer in Maryland to build and support custom client-side applications and plugins for a restaurant POS environment. This role focuses on developing reliable edge-level software that manages local data, event messaging, and workflow extensions at the workstation level.

About the Opportunity:

- Setting: Hybrid (at least 3 days a week onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Design and build custom C#/.NET Core plugins for a POS client runtime
- Use the Oracle MICROS Simphony Extension Application Development API to intercept POS events and support custom workflows
- Develop lightweight local storage solutions with SQLite or SQL Server Express
- Build asynchronous messaging and data synchronization flows using RabbitMQ
- Create high-performance background services and modules that support offline-first edge application functionality
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of professional experience with C# and .NET Core
- Experience building robust applications, class libraries, or desktop plugins
- Hands-on experience with lightweight relational databases such as SQLite or SQL Server Express
- Practical experience with message queuing patterns, producers, and consumers using RabbitMQ or a similar AMQP broker
- Strong understanding of threading, local concurrency, and offline-first data synchronization
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience developing Simphony Extension Applications using the Oracle Simphony Sim.Net SDK
- Background in hospitality technology or restaurant POS integrations
