A prominent health insurance provider is seeking a motivated Clinical Assistant to work remotely. In this role, the Clinical Assistant will be responsible for supporting customer service activities for various departments within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting customer service initiatives for Case and Utilization Management
- Screening and directing calls, faxes, and other digital formats
- Resolving customer inquiries and maintaining departmental goals
- Documenting and keying data into appropriate systems
- Interacting with members, hospitals, and providers
Qualifications:
- 1 year of related Customer Service experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Medical pre-authorization, Behavioral Health, or Medical Terminology
- Extensive knowledge of Utilization Management, Care Management, and Behavioral Health
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
Desired Skills:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant professional certifications
- Advanced proficiency in Medical Coding
