A recognized human services organization in New York City is currently seeking a Client Care Coordinator to work at a family shelter, providing essential services to families in need and creating a therapeutic and safe environment.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9 am to 5 pm, with one late night (1 pm to 9 pm)
- Setting: Family Shelter
Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of approximately 50 families
- Completing biopsychosocial evaluations within 30 days of client entry
- Conducting weekly individual sessions with clients
- Leading "Ready Set Goal" group sessions for young parents on healthy relationships with newborns
- Creating safety plans for domestic violence situations
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of related Social Work experience
- Master's in Social Work (LMSW required within one year of hire)
- TB test, First Aid/CPR certification
- Overdose Prevention certification
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
Desired Skills:
- NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Bilingual (English Spanish)
- Previous experience with Biopsychosocial Assessments
