A health services network in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their growing Partial Hospitalization Program on Staten Island.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Part-time
- Hours: 2pm to 6pm
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations in clinic, home, mobile van, and community settings
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including psychotherapy, medication management, and referrals as appropriate
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while managing side effects and interactions
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Provide education to youth and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, coping strategies, and wellness practices
Qualifications:
- NYS Medical License
- Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Experience in Pediatric Behavioral Health
- Strong knowledge of Psychiatric and Co-Occurring Disorders
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong therapeutic communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Desired Skills:
- Advanced degree in a related field
- Applicable certifications in Psychiatry
