A healthcare network in New York City is actively seeking an experienced professional to join their team as their new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Acute Care
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and participate in the planning and, development of programs, policies and procedures
- Supervise the implementation of programs and policies concerning the medical center's operations and assist in coordinating activities between facility staff and the corporate office
- Ensure the medical center remains compliant with standards, regulations and ready for inspections by accreditation agencies involving the delivery of health care services
- Recommend purchase of supplies and equipment, consistent with policies governing purchase procedures
- Recommend construction and alteration programs, including acquisition and replacement of facility equipment, consistent with policies
- Schedule and conduct and/or participate in regular interdepartmental and departmental meetings
- Assist the CEO in maintaining cooperative relationships with professional groups, external agencies, and regulatory bodies
- Participate in the development, maintenance and implementation of a hospital management reporting system that provides adequate and timely data for program planning and evaluation purposes
- Prepare and/or actively participate in the development of the fiscal year expense, revenue and operating budgets
- Ensure operations run within budgetary guidelines, review budget requests for areas of operation and monitor related expenses and purchases
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in Business Administration, Public Administration, and/or Hospital Administration roles
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Hospital Health Care, Medical Administration, or a related program
- Extensive working knowledge of Hospital Administration, laws, and regulations pertaining to hospital operations
