A community services organization in New York City is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join their team in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (11am to 7pm every 3 weeks)
- Setting: Clinic
Responsibilities:
- Assisting providers during patient visits, including obtaining and documenting vital signs
- Processing prescriptions and performing phlebotomy services
- Maintaining exam room supplies and assisting with procedures
- Performing EKGs and POCT tasks
- Participating in patient care planning and quality improvement activities
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- High School Diploma / GED
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency in Primary care, Phlebotomy, and EKG
- Knowledge of Ambulatory Practice Operations
- Experience with LGBT+ patient populations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Experience in a Primary Care setting
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records
