A New York City-based nonprofit organization is looking to boost its Queens team with the addition of a new Case Planner. In this role, the Case Planner will be responsible for fostering meaningful connections to support children in foster care and their families.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm or 11am to 7pm
- Setting: 90% Fieldwork, 10% Office
Responsibilities:
- Creating service plans addressing safety and permanency needs
- Monitoring the safety and well-being of children
- Scheduling and supervising visits between children and families
- Attending Family Court hearings and providing testimony
- Collaborating with integrated services teams to meet children’s needs
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in Case Management
- Bachelor's Degree
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced education in Social Work or related fields
- Certifications in Child Welfare systems
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Knowledge of Connections system
