A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Business Systems Analyst to join their team in the McLean, Virginia area.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business processes, data, and system functionality to identify improvement opportunities
- Gather, document, and clarify business and technical requirements from stakeholders
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and process documentation
- Support solution design and integration efforts across systems and applications
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, including basic root cause analysis
- Recommend workflow, system, and control enhancements to improve efficiency and performance
- Participate in testing activities, including test planning, test case creation, execution, and results reporting
- Collaborate with business units, ISD/technology partners, and vendors during implementation efforts
- Support the rollout and adoption of new products, services, or system enhancements
- Monitor system performance and assist with issue identification and resolution
- Research emerging technologies and best practices to support continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or a related role
- Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
- Basic understanding of business processes, systems, and data analysis
- Familiarity with testing concepts and participation in UAT or system testing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desired Skills:
- Experience in a regulated or process-driven environment (e.g., financial services)
- Exposure to SDLC, Agile, or hybrid delivery models
- Experience working with vendors or cross-functional technology teams
- Proficiency with documentation tools, spreadsheets, or reporting tools
