Business Systems Analyst – Finance & Data Integration
A top Fortune 50 financial institution is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst – Finance & Data Integration for a hybrid role based in Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL. This position supports the organization’s Finance and Accounting departments by analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and developing agile, data-driven solutions leveraging Oracle Fusion ERP and advanced analytics.

Responsibilities:
The Business Systems Analyst – Finance & Data Integration will be responsible for:
• Partnering with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify process improvements.
• Conducting and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including developing test plans, executing test cases, and documenting results.
• Creating requirements documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support agile solution delivery.
• Participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Leading change management initiatives, including stakeholder analysis, organizational assessments, and roadmap development.
• Developing and overseeing project plans to remediate control deficiencies and enhance compliance.
• Ensuring appropriate preventive, detective, and corrective controls are identified and documented.
• Providing training and user support for financial systems and newly implemented processes.
• Collaborating with technical teams to ensure solutions align with finance requirements and enterprise data governance standards.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role within Finance or Accounting functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience implementing or supporting Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP modules (GL, AP, FA, Project Accounting, Cash Management, Expenses).
• Strong knowledge of Data Engineering, Integration, Governance, and Warehousing concepts.
• Experience with ETL tools and data mapping techniques.
• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex system or data issues.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and large-scale initiatives.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis, and documentation tools.
Desired Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data analysis.
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiarity with data science and analytics (predictive/prescriptive modeling, data mining, and transformation).
• Experience with financial systems such as SAP or Workday.
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Databricks, Spark, Azure Data Factory).
• Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud reporting tools (BI Publisher, OTBI, Fusion Analytics Warehouse).
• Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
