Join our team as a Behavioral Intervention Specialist in The Bronx. This full-time role requires experienced professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities in various residential settings.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Flexible, including potential evenings and weekends
- Schedule: Flexible between Monday to Friday and weekends available
- Hours: Approximately 37.5 hours per week
- Setting: Group Homes
Responsibilities:
- Developing functional behavioral assessments and support plans
- Providing individual and group counseling
- Presenting behavior support plans to committees
- Training staff on behavior support plans
- Providing referrals for psychiatric and psychological services
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in BIS
- Master’s degree in clinical psychology
- BCBA certification is a plus
- Experience with assessments
- Ability to travel between locations
- Providing coverage via cell phone
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Flexible scheduling ability
- Comfortable working with IDD individuals
Desired Skills:
- 5 years of experience with IDD individuals
- BCBA certification
- Experience with PrecisionCare EMR
- SCIP or PROMOTE certification
- Experience working in group home settings
