This position is for a Behavioral Intervention Specialist located in Manhattan. The role involves working in group homes and requires travel between different sites.
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: Field Work

- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with the option to work weekends
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities:
The Behavioral Intervention Specialist will be responsible for:
- Developing functional behavioral assessments and support plans
- Providing individual and group counseling
- Presenting behavior support plans to the Human Rights Committee
- Training staff in behavior support plans
- Providing referrals for psychiatric care
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of BIS experience
- Master’s degree in a clinical psychology or related field
- BCBA certification (preferred)
- Experience with assessments and behavior support development
- Ability to travel to multiple locations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility with scheduling and travel
- Capability to work independently
- Commitment to providing quality care
Desired Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with IDD individuals
- BCBA certification
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with Manhattan public transit
