Automation Engineer – IT Change Management
A top Fortune 50 financial institution is currently seeking an Automation Engineer – IT Change Management to join their growing technology team. This role will focus on transforming change management practices through automation, integrations, and intelligent deployment solutions.

- Hours: Standard business hours (with flexibility as needed for deployments)
- Setting: Enterprise IT environment with exposure to ServiceNow, automation platforms, and CI/CD pipelines
Responsibilities:
The Automation Engineer – IT Change Management
will be responsible for:
- Partnering with IT engineering teams to design and deliver automation solutions that align with IT Change Management practices.
- Developing scripts and playbooks (PowerShell, Python, JavaScript) to automate infrastructure changes and deployments triggered by approved requests.
- Ensuring automated deployments are compliant with IT change policies and fully auditable in ServiceNow.
- Integrating automation platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and ServiceNow to streamline end-to-end change processes.
- Supporting governance, compliance, and reporting for automated change management workflows.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, JavaScript).
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management practices with a focus on Change Management and compliance/governance frameworks(ITIL, NIST, FFIEC, ISO/IEC 27001, NCUA Regulations, etc.).
- Experience with IT automation platforms and integrations to ITSM systems.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Change Management module.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
Desired Skills:
- ServiceNow System Administrator or Implementation Specialist certification.
- Experience with automation platforms (e.g., Ansible, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party tool integrations.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
