A media organization in New York City is seeking an Audience Development Manager to help grow and retain a paid subscriber base across its digital brands. This hybrid role will support direct-to-consumer strategy, marketing execution, and cross-functional collaboration to drive audience growth and engagement.

About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business hours
- Setting: Hybrid (4 days per week onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to drive subscriber acquisition and retention
- Track subscriber growth and attrition trends across the user lifecycle and apply actionable insights
- Build, send, and optimize email campaigns, including copywriting, creative coordination, QA, and A/B testing
- Support on-site capture efforts and build integrations and technical pathways
- Partner closely with editorial and product teams to align audience development efforts
- Report on strategy performance, campaign results, and key metrics to stakeholders and leadership
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Audience Development, Retention Marketing, or Direct-to-Consumer roles
- Experience working within Email Service platforms such as Sailthru, Campaign Monitor, or Mailchimp
- Knowledge of Content Strategy and Production best practices
- Ability to analyze data across multiple platforms and use findings to guide strategy and testing
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Collaborative mindset with experience working across cross-functional teams
Desired Skills:
- Experience in a Publisher or Lifestyle Product environment
- Design proficiency and familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Code implementation
- Experience with Data Analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or DOMO
