A healthcare network in Brooklyn, New York, is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing team as their new Associate Director of Nursing (ADON). In this role, the ADON will oversee nursing administration in an acute care setting, with a focus on Emergency Department responsibilities.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7:30am to 4pm
- Setting: Acute Care
Responsibilities:
- Assuming 24-hour nursing responsibility
- Interpreting organizational goals to the staff
- Overseeing the daily operations of the Nursing Department
- Ensuring adequate staffing coverage
- Maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience (5 years in a leadership role)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification
- Leadership experience in Emergency Medicine
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Strong leadership skills
- Effective communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously

- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Advanced certifications in Nursing
