A global enterprise is seeking an Applications Engineer to support Video Management Systems (VMS) operations and integrations. This role focuses on technical execution, operational triage, release readiness, and cross-team collaboration to ensure smooth system performance and high-quality releases.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: 100% Remote (EST/CST preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Triage and investigate VMS issues, gather logs, reproduce defects, document findings, and coordinate with engineering teams
- Support release readiness activities, including checklists, smoke tests, deployment coordination, and validation
- Assist with system integrations and configuration tasks as permitted by role/access
- Manage and track operational work in Jira (bugs, tasks, dependencies) and provide status updates
- Partner with TPM to identify risks and blockers and drive them to resolution
- Deliver faster issue resolution, improved release quality, and better cross-team execution hygiene
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with Milestone VMS
- Experience with technical troubleshooting, ticketing systems (Jira), and operational support
- Strong documentation skills for triage, release, and integration processes
- Solid problem-solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Milestone Certified Integration Engineer (MCIE) certification
- Experience supporting non-production/dev/test/lab environments
- Familiarity with VMS integrations and system configuration tasks
- Ability to produce clear, technically accurate runbooks, checklists, and knowledge articles
