A renowned company in Connecticut is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team in New Haven County.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
Responsibilities:
- Processing vendor invoices and reviewing monthly statements
- Enforcing PO policies across the organization
- Ensuring correct coding and approval for non-PO transactions
- Updating vendor master information as necessary
- Preparing monthly Accounts Payable accruals
Qualifications:
- 5 years of Accounts Payable experience
- High School Diploma / GED and/or Associate’s Degree
- Intermediate knowledge of Accounting procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Solid analytical , mathematical, and research skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline-oriented
- Well-organized with multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently
Desired Skills:
- 10 years of Accounts Payable experience in a Manufacturing setting
- Associate’s and/or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- Proficiency in SAP
- Excellent keying and organizational skills
- Strong communication abilities
